Composting Bulking Agent (Woodchip)

Made from untreated British hardwood trees our Bulking Agent helps to keep your waste aerated and ensures the bacteria get the oxygen they require for fast and efficient hot composting.

Add a couple of hands full every time you empty your kitchen caddy.

HOTBIN is an aerobic compost bin. It relies on the composting bacteria having access to an oxygen supply in order for them to survive and work efficiently.

The addition of Bulking Agent assists airflow within the unit and helps to eliminate the need for turning or rotating your waste. When added to the bin, the structure of the bulking agent's woody particles create lots of little air pockets which allows air to circulate through your HOTBIN.

As a rough guide, generally a 50ltr bag will last approx 5 - 8 months. (consumption will vary user by user).

IMPORTANT - It is vital that you keep your bulking agent dry so please do not leave it exposed to the elements. If your bulking agent is damp,  either air dry it or add an additional 1/2 handful of shredded paper during use.
